A DAY AT THE DOG PARK

One of the best Boston Common features: the off-leash dog park. A place where all kinds of dogs can run, sit, or play in two areas. Established in 2013, this is the first approved city park that has an off-leash area not designated by a restricted fence. It was created by the collaborative efforts of the Friends of the Public Garden, the group Common Canine, and local dog owners.
