Dozens of Boston citizens attended the 5th anniversary of the internet sensation Ice Bucket Challenge. The challenge was started by Pete Frates and Pat Quinn to raise money for ALS research. ALS is a nervous system disease that causes impaired physical functions and weakens muscles. Frates was a Boston College baseball player who was diagnosed with the disease. His mother, Nancy, has done a lot of work for ALS awareness.
